Millions from the ERC for research into the possible harmful effects of acrylamide


(University of Copenhagen The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences) This year Associate Professor Marie Pedersen from the Department of Public Health receives EUR 1.5 million in research funding from the European Research Council (ERC). The money will be spent on a project studying connections between unborn babies’ exposure to acrylamide and related reactive substances which are formed during heating of certain foods and unwanted effects on the health of children and young people.
